Second in my San Sebastián three-part series is 'Surfer no. 7'. Shot as the sun was starting to disappear behind a big wall of cloud and the surf was starting to get messed up, with the ever strengthening winds and dying swell, a local ran down the beach and started paddling out back. He took off on his first wave, which was about 9-10ft, and proceeded to ride the wave with a natural grace and perfect timing. A few more beautifully rode waves later and I decided I better point my camera in his direction. I'd normally be frothing to get in myself but watching him seemed as enjoyable so I just sat there for thirty plus minutes watching this very graceful surfer. So here is a little sequence of his last wave of the day as he headed back into shore before running back up the beach from where he came.
