Continuing his ongoing exploration of surfing and its culture, Mark investigates surfers over 50, examining the reasons they engage in the activity.

Whilst surfing is still commonly represented through imagery of young white males riding critical parts of a wave, Mark became interested in exploring the experiences of those who take up surfing later in life and what they seek from the activity.

Mark explores both the surfer and the notions of space and place using non-traditional, representational seascapes.
