I think I'm the only one in my family who doesn't have green fingers. The cactus was born for my level of gardening ability -
Palm Springs palm trees
I'd only seen 'trimmed' palm trees until my recent visit to Venice Beach, California where I saw the workers up in cherry-pickers giving the trees a spruce up. Then when I was out in Palm Springs I saw a bunch of trees in different stages of growth. I really like the untrimmed versions and think they should leave more like that.
Two chairs
Well it would be nice for the summer to come through so we can enjoy those lovely evenings - just sat in the sun collecting our thoughts.

I recently found myself on the set of an old fictional cowboy Wild West town. Here are some trees from that set -

Somewhere in the Californian desert is an old cowboy set left over from filming Westerns. Half of the sets have now been turned into full time housing or motels and the others are still there for the tourist to have a look around. Here is a garden of one of the now permanent houses -
